Planetary observation from May 20th: One more observation from small town and balcony from 1st floor . East-South side of observation is forests and river, so nothing extreeme to generate heat currents to ruin observation . Yesterday evening i had probably one of best Jupiter observations this year. . I've spent time gazing how Great Red Storm changes position in 1,5 hour. Usual and most estetical views were x112.5 not more , 4 gas bands of planet , two main of them clearly showing some variabilities , not just lines . Great Red Spot was giving very clear definition. Those good seeing moments were quite long, not just appearance for a few seconds and it was so amazing . Tried also x150 , but to get that short glimpse was already related more to luck , very rare moments. Style of observation: mount is manual, so you let planet go from right eypiece side to left, during transit moment i swing between around x60 --x112.5 and try to get most details, so kinda a lot of work, but it works for me . Stellarium software showed 12,75 magnitude star below Jupiter disk, but i didn't get it, probably it needs more dark sky and full eye adaptation to dark , or much more aperture. If anybody of you want big refractor and no money for ED or APO , so it's the way to go. Details i saw yesterday told me once more: amazing scope , views limited by Mother Nature. And with Baader Contrast Booster no CA . You can't buy better achromat for this price guys, if needed, i will come to Poland and we make night tests. I am not far , Lithuania. I am posting my observations from cloudynights, so you could imagine what can be observed. Will be glad to answer any questions.

Latest observation with this telescope: Recently i've moved to big town. It means a lot of light pollution . I tested observation from very narrow balkony. Due to me being constantly observing planets i haven't go any star hopping skills. Straight from balcony i see Big Dipper , Poliaris is on the right side and it is still reachable for observing. I am always amazed by galaxy pair M81 and M82 . So i thought it's time to starhope there and try to check is it possible to see in big town with my aperture. Big town for me - 200 000 souls. First found visually "h UMa A" and started drive north. I have no skills in hopping, so it was kinda tuff . First had to find out how wide i can see in my Baader Mark III Zoom Eyepiece. SkySafari in night mode was my guide , degree after degree. https://imgur.com/a/rhsSVaJ First i've noticed M81 with direct vision , M82 came when i tried to look with night periferal vision . Sometimes i had a feeling , that i can glimpse something different in M82 , but it was brief and not 100 % sure. M81 magnitude 6.8 and M82 magnitude 8.1 . After that, it was time to see if it's possible to spot more deep like 9-10 magnitudes of objects . Moved to left towards "Coddington Nebula" magnitude 10.4... tried all methods of observing, not even a hint. To be sure went to M108 and Owl Nebula of magnitudes 10 and 9.8 , no result. Probably few inches of more aperture could help here or darker sky . Before sleep observed "Cor Caroli A and Cor Caroli B" . So it's clear, that being in such a size town magnitudes around 8.5 is maximum you can achive with 6" unobstructed scope. Must say it goes deep very nicely. Must test same objects without Baader filter , i wonder how it affects seeing magnitude.
